Magnets

Our offer includes neodymium magnets, which are installed in material hoppers at the inlet of injection molding machines and have a very practical purpose: capturing ferromagnetic impurities before the material reaches the machine’s barrel and screw.

In plastics processing plants, it is often a very cheap element that protects the very expensive plasticizing system.

Neodymium magnets play a key role in the plastics industry, mainly as elements of systems for separating metal impurities from granules.
Due to their extremely high attractive force, they are used to capture small particles of iron and steel that could damage processing machines (injection molding machines, extruders) or reduce the quality of the finished product.

Most often you will encounter them in the form of:
      • magnetic rods,
      • magnetic grids,
      • separators inserted into the hopper.

Here are the key aspects of using neodymium magnets in the processing of plastic granules:
      • Magnetic separators and grids: Neodymium (NdFeB) magnets are mounted in the form of magnetic rods, grids or magnetic grills in the hoppers of injection molding machines.
      • Machine protection: effectively remove ferromagnetic contaminants (e.g. metal filings) from the raw material (granulate, flakes), preventing breakdowns..
      • High efficiency: thanks to the high magnetic flux density, these magnets capture even the smallest impurities (from less than 30 µm to 2 mm).
      • Application in recycling: these magnets are essential in plastics recycling processes, cleaning the regrind material from metal impurities.
      • Construction: Neodymium magnets are often used in stainless steel housings, ensuring durability and making cleaning easier.

Neodymium magnets are ideal for this purpose because they store more magnetism in the same volume than ferrite magnets.
