WANNER TECHNIK manufactures recycling granulators that operate both as stationary and central devices. They are divided into series: Baby, Compact, Dynamic, the largest, central granulators of the Energy series, the Xtra special granulator, the TG-Extruder regranulation system and the TT-Cutter for edge shredding.

      The granulator for the smallest sprues and laboratory applications

      The granulator B08.10 is designed for the granulation of small sprues. Typical applications are the granulation of CD sprues and small sprues from microinjection moulding and also as a laboratory granulator.

       

      Series B

       

      The micro-injection granulator version is equipped with a suction port for grinding during the injection process, while the laboratory version features a closed drawer for collecting the ground grind sample. Various mobile frames and inlet shafts make it easy to optimize the granulator for a specific application. For special requirements regarding grind contamination, the screen can be made of stainless steel.

       

      Due to its compact design, the granulator takes up very little space, making it easy to integrate into existing systems even in confined spaces. Furthermore, the Baby series granulators are particularly well-suited for laboratory use, as their easy cleaning makes material changes very quick and easy.

       

      The sprues are crushed at a low speed, ensuring minimal dust and very low noise levels. The optimized V-shaped bevel cutting geometry and the cascaded multi-stage rotor achieve highly efficient crushing, allowing for a correspondingly low gear motor drive power, which in turn contributes to energy savings.

      The C-Series is based on three model sizes:

      • C 13.20s with a cutting chamber opening of 130 x 200 mm²

      C Serie

       

      Because of their modular construction, the C Series granulators can easily be adapted to the particular application or the operational needs. Depending on the manner in which the sprues are fed in, disposal of the regrind material and the injection moulding machine in use, the C Series from Wanner with its many standard components offers optimum solutions which can be adapted to your particular operational requirements.

      Extremely simple operation

      • [1] To open the granulator – take out the suction / sack filling box from the front.
      • [2] Open the quick release catch. The upper part of the cutting chamber and in-feed hopper is supported on a heavy duty hinge and can be swung completely aside.
      • [3] Allows free access to the cutting chamber. The rotor and can be inspected freely and the screen can easily be removed. Undercuts and openings in which material could collect are reduced to a minimum allowing the granulator to be fully cleaned in seconds.

      The universal granulator for massive parts.

      The D-Series is now based on four model sizes:

      • D 25.25 with a cutting chamber opening of 250 x 255 mm²
      • D 25.38 with a cutting chamber opening of 250 x 385 mm²
      • D 25.50 with a cutting chamber opening of 250 x 505 mm²
      • D 30.50 with a cutting chamber opening of 300 x 500 mm²

       

      The D series grnulators, depending on the type, are also available with two different types of drives.

      Firstly as a granulator with a V-belt drive and a large, massive flywheel for applications where higher throughput is required, and also with a directly mounted gear motor for significantly reduced speed and less space requirement when the mill is used as a bench granulator.

       

      D 25.25 with sound proof enclosure

       

      The granulator with standard hopper can be equipped with an additional chute, which can serve as robot in-feed slide or tray for manual hand feed to suit the various feeding options.

      A wide range of options available, including motor power, mobile frames and shafts, drive type, cutting chamber size, control options, acoustic insulation, and accessories, allows for easy adaptation of the granulator to the specific grinding task. The rotor geometry with a cascaded V-cut ensures high-quality grinding with low dust content and, together with the standard sound-insulated shafts and massive cutting chamber, contributes to a reduced noise level.

       

      The advantages of the D-Series:

      • Large cutting chamber with hardened inserts guarantee reduced wear and therefore long life even when processing glass filled materials.
      • The rotor design allows for granulation of large parts and awkward sprues.
      • possibility to choose from two drive variants:
        V-belt drive version, massive flywheel with extra weight, suitable for higher performance and for shredding particularly massive parts
        direct drive variant using a gear motor to reduce the rotor speed and reduce space requirements
      • Large cutting chamber and scissor cutting action provides low noise levels and good quality regrind with minimal fines.
      • Lower energy consumption thanks to the segmented rotor with an oblique cut and a high flywheel mass, which is also an ideal solution for shredding very massive parts.
      • Optional integrated sound proof enclosure.
      • High-quality, low-dust regrind thanks to optimized cutting geometry.
      • Controller with contactor with overcurrent protection switch, monitoring by redundant limit switch in accordance with the current standard, 4 m connection cable, CEE plug as phase inverter, various control options possible.

      D-Series granulators either with or without sound deadening enclosure are easy to open, providing full access to the cutting chamber for service or cleaning. The sound deadening enclosure can be opened wide to allow easy approach to the granulator. The cutting chamber can be opened up very easily without the necessity of tools allowing excellent access and sight to rotor, screen and knives. The cleaning of the granulator during a change of colour or material therefore can be very easily done.

      The E-Serie consits of 5 sizes regarding cutting chamber opening:

      The new E-Series (Energy-Series) granulators are very suitable as powerful central granulators for the processing of sprues and failparts up to a throughput of 800 kg/hr (depending on the products, its material, geometry and screen size).

       

      E-Series

       

      By standard, these granulators come with integrated sound enclosure and a special framework design to reduce structure born noise, thus qualifying these machines also for in-line applications in the production of large blow or injection moulded parts.

       

      The E Series granulators impress with their performance, robust design, and ease of operation. Extensive airborne and structural noise reduction measures reduce operator stress.

       

      All essential components of the granulator are quickly and easily accessible without tools for servicing and cleaning, so all work can be carried out quickly.

      The specialist for brittle materials

      The slow-running tooth roller granulator is available in three cutting chamber sizes:

      • Xtra1 model with a cutting chamber opening of 260 x 170 mm²
      • Xtra2 model with a cutting chamber opening of 260 x 260 mm²
      • Xtra3 model with a cutting chamber opening of 260 x 350 mm²

       

      Xtra 2 tooth roller granulator in standard version

       

      The screenless type of crusher granulators of the Xtra Series are ideal for brittle plastic materials. With large primary crushers, plastic sprues and parts are pre-crushed before being broken down to a final size via the toothed rollers (available with 4 and 5 mm teeth) without screening. There are benefits compared with blade granulators with screen, in terms of regrind quality and use, particular with brittle materials. As a result, the noise level is lower when granulating massive sprues and the regrind has fewer fine parts when processing brittle plastics. When grinding soft, fibrous plastics, the regrind quality is sometimes significantly worse than that achieved with cutting mills.

       

      The Xtra-Series machines are also very compact and easy to clean. The hardened cutting tools made from high quality steel alloys guarantee a long service life even when processing abrasive plastics.

       

      The screenless crusher granulators are available in different configurations and are easy to adapt to specific user requirements.
